We use automation as a tool to support our colleagues in maximising their potential and not as a replacement for human ingenuity. Innovation is not just a word we use because there is a trend to use it right now. Innovation at Hi-Tech is tangible and a significant area of investment. We have a dedicated multidisciplinary team, working in a dedicated facility, specifically for the purposes of innovation. Although they are always working to developing their own ideas and bring them to life, they spend the majority of their team working with our partners on product ideation and prototyping. This highly autonomous team solve problems for our partners. Where a lack of resource, knowledge, or focus may restrict the innovation process in some businesses, our team create ideas and bring concepts to life to overcome this problem. Our team are close to the source of much of the world’s innovation in garment engineering and are able to rapidly apply this in a way that creates a competitive advantage for our partners.

Rapidly creating new products

Our Product Development Center is where new products are born. This can be considered as a ‘factory within a factory’ as all the steps in the manufacturing process are housed within this facility, separate from the main production areas, and purely for the purposes of developing new products. For our partners this is a one-stop shop for all their product development needs, meaning that their product development is iteratively and precisely refined by a team dedicated to producing the outcome that our partners desire. This is another area where we apply technology to maximize potential and integrate more closely with our partners. This enables us to be more responsive and bring products to market for our partners much faster than was previously possible.
